I recently took up a new medium to get the creative juices flowing and I am loving the folky aesthetic of it. Linocut prints date back to the 1800’s and was a way to mass produce artwork and printing. It' lends itself quite beautifully to chicano arts, as well. I have several different prints / cards available that I’ve created in my shop.
If you haven’t seen it, check out Taika Waititi’s “Reservation Dogs” on Hulu. The second season should be coming out soon. One of my favorite characters is “Willie Jack” and I was inspired to paint this portrait of her iconic look, a nod to Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs”. Prints in several sizes are available here.
I am honored and thrilled to be participating in Cactus Gallery’s 8th annual Loteria group show. I will be doing “El Alacran" (card 40) and will also have some small linocuts of El Nopal available. If you are in the area, please check it out in person, but you can also contact sandra@cactusgalleryla.com for collector pre-sales

After several years, I will be returning to Comicpalooza (July 17-18th). I’m very much looking forward to this as before the Pandemic hit, I was just beginning to dip my feet in the water of doing shows again. This is a welcome respite for me and I can hardly wait to see all the amazing creatives. I will be in Booth 2303, so please come say hi!
